A free-lance writer for Bugle, the quarterly publication of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, is trying to compile mementos of Samson, the elk killed Nov. 11 by a poacher at the Estes Park Center of the YMCA of the Rockies.

Elizabeth Simpson reported she is preparing an article for the Bugle's spring issue, and is in need of Estes Park area contributions of memories, anecdotes or pictures of the famed elk.

Persons submitting pictures are asked to include a stamped, self-addressed envelope to ensure prompt returns.
